Zelda with Sheikah Slate by cyen Zelda with Sheikah Slate by cyen
First completed Zelda fanart in a very, very, very long time.  Her pose was inspired by the Roman girl with stylus fresco.  It was supposed to be a relatively quick coloring but ended up not that way.  I had to redraw her hands numerous times, but I'm relatively happy with the end result.  I will post my process on tumblr later.

It looks awesome!
I like the way you painted the face, it's polished and has this soft feel to it. The flow of hair is also done nicely, shine and details there really catch eye of the observer upon closer examination. The coloring technique you used in this one reminds me of fresco paintings? Personally, I like when you can see the actual strokes on piece and when artist boldly makes those strokes without fear that there is too big contrast between them (oh god this turned so poetic, I am not sure whether you will be able to understand this ;_; Good example for what I wanted to describe is part on her right shoulder.). So, I can pretty much say I like this style. Focus which you put into her eyes is successful - I was a bit surprised when I saw her eyes which are sharper than the rest of the piece. It's just that from whichever angle you look at the piece, you move through parts which are softer and then reach the focal point which is distinguished by it's more polished look and defined shapes. It's a bit of shock there, and it's a good one!
Additional points go to hands :D
